We help organizations find the software solution that fits their business.  Our platform will assist organizations in creating a list of requirements for the software category that they have selected and we subsequently use that data through our matching algorithm process to identify and make a connection with the best software solutions that fit their needs.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Software category profiles

When visitors create a software category using our third party data collection service we collect the data entered and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.  This data is used during our matching algorithm process to identify the matching software solution which is described in the “what automated decision making and /or profiling we do with user data” below.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact forms

When visitors create a submission through a contact form on the site we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.  This contact form is received via email through our third party email service provider.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

  • Software vendors. As part of our matching process, organizations seeking software consent to allow us to share their Information with only the software vendors participating in the program who we’ve identified as a match.  Data is not shared with vendors who we have not identified as a match.
  • Social Media Services. If you opt to access social media websites and services through our Sites (such as LinkedIn), you are sharing your Information with those sites under their privacy policies.
  • Third-party vendors whose services we use to assist in collecting data may access and collect Information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the Information for any other purpose (e.g., marketing, customer service, business analytics, payment processing).

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or submit a contact form, its metadata is retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you create a profile for a software category, we data is retained indefinitely.  This is to allow you to manage your submitted profile at a later date and to allow our team to view responses for internal analytic processes.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

To use some of the features of our Site, certain information may be required. For example, your business email address, industry and company information is necessary if you want access to create a software category profile. Other additional information is voluntary, for example writing reviews, creating your profile, or participating in surveys and promotions.

Signing in with your LinkedIn account or sharing content through social media services is optional. If you connect to our Site through your LinkedIn account, we will receive and store your LinkedIn Profile information (your company name, industry, company size, job title, summary, end date, profile picture, and skills from your LinkedIn profile) and LinkedIn connections (we will use this information to show you reviews written by your connections, however, we will not access your connections’ contact information nor send messages to your connections).

Once you are logged in to our Site with your LinkedIn account, you can change some information on your profile for our Site, but you cannot change your company information or email address.

Note that information shared with LinkedIn or other social media sites will be governed by their privacy policies.

Additional information

How we protect your data

We want you to feel confident about using our Site, and we are committed to protecting the information we collect. While no website can guarantee 100% security, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security procedures to help protect the personal information you provide to us.

For example, only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information that you do not publish on the Site, and they only may do so for permitted business functions. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized personnel have access to personal information that you have not published on the Site. In addition, we use encryption when transmitting your personal information between your system and ours, and we, together with our partners, employ firewalls and intrusion detection systems to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your non-public information.

You should bear in mind that submission of information over the Internet is never entirely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information you submit via our Site while it is in transit over the Internet, and any such submission is at your own risk.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Results received via the software profile process is sent through our internal matching algorithm which includes both automated and manual processes.  The data is matched against multiple matching factors to determine the best software solutions that fits your profile.
